These prints on canvas created by commercial artist David Everist who has been creating art in Moab for over a quarter century. You can see Mr. Everist’s work in many of the signs, murals, sculptures and logos scattered around the region. These products are printed with archival quality ultraviolet pigmented ink on art canvas. The art is then rolled into protective tubes for shipping. This way, you can have these prints matted at your convenience to match the environment in which they will be displayed. The triptych prints can be hung individually or as one piece.
Some of the pieces are the artist’s interpretation of the ancient rock art found in the high desert region. Dating this ancient art is difficult but estimates range from 300 years to as far back as 10,000 years and beyond. This rock art is truly amazing and should be
experienced first hand. If you visit this area and see for yourself this ancient heritage, the artist asks you to respect the sites and it’s form in the natural state you find it. The art isn’t as preserved as it could be and this is written in hopes that visitors will realize this art is disintegrating before our eyes and hopes everyone will be particularly careful when appreciating it.
